According to CoinMeta, and as reported by The Wall Street Journal, a woman from California lost over 8 million dollars in an crypto investment scam. She then self-taught herself about blockchain tracking and traced the funds involved to a wallet worth over 100 million dollars. Subsequently, she prompted a Turkish court to seize the related assets. Meanwhile, the crypto exchange OKX identified 144 wallets and approximately 263,000 transactions involving around 2.94 billion dollars in funds during its investigation of the suspicious money. The exchange submitted the relevant clues to the U.S. Secret Service. The U.S. law enforcement authorities subsequently launched the "Big Tuna Operation," which resulted in the seizure of about 225 million dollars in crypto assets, marking the largest cryptocurrency seizure operation in the history of the U.S. Secret Service. Currently, hundreds of scam victims are seeking to recover their losses from the seized assets, but they need to prove the chain-based connection between their defrauded funds and the relevant wallets. The final compensation plan has not yet been determined.
