Tether Collaborates with 340 Law Enforcement Agencies to Assist in Freezing $5 Billion in Assets

According to CoinMeta, Wu said that on September 11, Tether stated that the company has so far collaborated with over 340 law enforcement agencies in 67 countries, participating in more than 2,800 cases. Of these, over 1,600 cases involved U.S. law enforcement departments, and assistance was provided in freezing assets related to illegal activities totaling over $5 billion, with more than $2.5 billion of that being achieved through cooperation with U.S. authorities. Tether also mentioned that they recently assisted the U.S. Department of Justice in its law enforcement actions against Xinbi Guarantee. A statement from the U.S. Department of Justice confirmed that these actions resulted in the restraint of over $52 million in crypto assets, and special thanks were given to Tether for their proactive assistance during the investigation.
