Cody Carbone: If the CLARITY bill is not passed, regulators will act swiftly
2026-09-12 01:58:15
According to CoinMeta, the CEO of Digital Currency Group, Cody Carbone, stated that if the CLARITY bill does not pass, regulatory authorities are expected to take prompt action. He pointed out that the chairman of SEC, Paul Atkins, has indicated that they will achieve the goals of CLARITY through guidance and rule-making, rather than waiting for Congress. He expects that if the bill stalls, SEC will introduce innovative exemptions first. In addition, Carbone mentioned that the CLARITY bill is not a single piece of legislation, but is composed of about 40 to 50 separate bills, and in the future, some of its provisions may be split off and attached to legislation that must pass.
