AAVE Submits New Governance Proposal, Launches Managed Mortgage Lending Scheme
2026-09-16 07:27:21
According to CoinMeta, Wu said that AAVE has submitted a new governance proposal to launch managed collateral lending (custodied collateral lending) based on AAVE v4. This scheme would allow institutions to borrow stablecoins using assets held in Anchorage as collateral. During the loan period, the underlying collateral assets will continue to be managed by Anchorage, which will also maintain the collateral management system, record balances, and track loan lifecycle events. In the event of liquidation, the underlying assets will be sold through OTC. Chainlink CustodySync will synchronize the managed balances onto the blockchain using non-transferable certificate tokens, while the Chainlink price oracle will provide consistent pricing data to both AAVE and the custodian to ensure that the borrowed stablecoins can be directly sent to the borrower's address in a single transaction. This solution will operate within the independent liquidity centers (liquidity hub) of AAVE v4, isolated from the existing market.
