Japan's Financial Services Agency announces financial administration guidelines for 2026, promoting the implementation of blockchain finance

According to CoinMeta, as reported by Coinpost, the Japanese Financial Services Agency (FSA) officially announced the "Financial Administration Guidelines for the Fiscal Year 2026" on September 15th, for the first time explicitly stating the intention to fully promote the social implementation of "on-chain finance" based on blockchain technology. These guidelines serve as a key measure to implement the financial strategy of "Asset Management Nation Upgrading" established by the Japanese government in July. They require the promotion of tokenized deposits and stablecoins as on-chain settlement methods while ensuring user protection and the stability of the financial system. Additionally, by integrating blockchain with traditional financial infrastructure, the guidelines aim to improve the efficiency of fund and securities settlements and shorten the settlement cycle. FSA will establish an "On-Chain Finance Forum for the AI Era" and plans to hold public-private dialogue events focusing on cross-border payments and digital finance during "Japan Fintech Week" in 2027.
