The U.S. House Ways and Means Committee passes a bill on digital asset tax certainty

According to CoinMeta, the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee passed the "Digital Assets Tax Certainty Act" with 38 votes in favor and 5 against, and it was then submitted to the entire House of Representatives. The act stipulates that individual on-chain network fees of less than $10 can be exempted from taxation under certain conditions, except for those who made more than 5,000 transactions in the previous year. During the deliberation period, an amendment proposed by Democratic Representative Lloyd Doggett regarding unmanaged accounts and the 1099 reporting obligations for DEFI platforms was rejected with 12 votes in favor and 28 against, and another amendment calling for a study of the environmental impact of crypto mining power consumption was also rejected with 16 votes in favor and 25 against.
