Why Do American Institutions Sell Bitcoin Faster Than Binance Traders?
2026-10-13 17:52:31
CoinMeta data: According to Coinpedia, recently the price of Bitcoin fell below $84,000, leading to leveraged liquidations of $812.95 million in the crypto market. American institutions seem to be selling Bitcoin faster than Binance traders. The premium index of Coinbase has remained negative for several consecutive days, indicating that the trading price of Bitcoin on Coinbase is lower than that on Binance. As the upcoming CPI report approaches, concerns about inflation are increasing, and it is expected that in September CPI will rise to 3.7%. Meanwhile, on October 12th, there was a net outflow of $65.4 million in US spot Bitcoin ETF, all from Blackstone's Bitcoin ETF. Despite increased selling pressure, CoinMeta data shows that Bitcoin exchanges still hold nearly 2.67 million coins, which is a decrease from 2.72 million at the end of September. Technical analyst Ali Martinez pointed out that $84,000 is an important level to watch; if Bitcoin closes above this level on the four-hour chart, it could open the way up to $93,000.
