Kiev, Ukraine, September 30, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- Ukrainian defense technology manufacturer M-Fly stated that the company has secured a new round of financing to accelerate growth and meet the needs of the battlefield. M-Fly produces laser-guided systems proven in actual combat, as well as high-precision gyro stabilization gimbal units for drone platforms.

This round of financing is supported by existing investors, with MITS Capital leading the investment and Freedom Fund following suit. Norwegian venture capital firm Gardar, which focuses on the defense sector, as well as an undisclosed new investor, also participated in this round of financing.

The specific amount of financing and the company's valuation will not be disclosed.

MITS Capital, co-founder and CEO, and Perry Boyle stated: "Since M-Fly completed the MITS Accelerator project, it has made incredible progress. We are very pleased to see the increasing demand from NATO countries for its advanced systems."

He also stated: “M-Fly is precisely the type of company that MITS Capital is targeting: a Ukrainian manufacturer that supplies components for the drone supply chain, capable of continuously improving its products as battlefield conditions change.”

M-Fly was established at the end of 2023, originating from an earlier volunteer project by its founder that was aimed at military purposes. The company stated that by mid-2026, it had raised a total of $1.4 million in funds through family and friend financing, support provided by the state-owned national defense technology cluster Brave1, as well as venture capital from co-founders MITS Capital, Freedom Fund, Resist.ua, and HD-group and Ukrainian entrepreneur Borys Shestopalov.

As of the fall of 2026, M-Fly's product portfolio includes laser guidance systems for aerial, maritime, and ground-based unmanned platforms, as well as high-precision gyro-stabilized gimbal units. The company stated that its core technologies have been tested on the Ukrainian battlefield, verifying the performance of these stabilized platforms at speeds of up to 350 kilometers per hour.

M-Fly offers a range of cost-effective laser guidance systems, including RB-150CW and Seeker, to enhance the efficiency of unmanned platforms.

Another product, RB-220, is an overloading gimbal suitable for large drones, manned aircraft, helicopters, and naval drones. This product can also be used as a ground station for air defense applications.

The company has also developed RB-150GD, which is a dual-sensor gimbal equipped with thermal imaging and day-time video channels, specifically designed for medium-sized drones. Based on this platform, the company is working on developing RB-150 and Marine, which are weather-resistant gimbals suitable for use on boats and vessels.

M-Fly plans to launch RB-100 in the first quarter of 2027. The company states that this is the lightest product in its lineup, targeting small drones.

M-Fly Founder and CEO Vladyslav Myhovych stated: "In the past 12 months, our team has doubled in size, and our revenue has increased several times over. Since the beginning of 2026, there has been a significant increase in demand from Ukrainian customers and NATO allies. The main driving factors are the rise in the use of Ukrainian interceptor drones, as well as the resulting demand for low-cost reconnaissance drones equipped with high-quality imaging systems."

MITS Capital, co-founder, and COO / CIO Denys Gurak stated: "More important than performance is the fact that this company has established a unit economics model, allowing its product pricing to be significantly lower than that of its closest competitors. This is also why we have decided to provide additional funding to support their next phase of growth."

Myhovych indicates that the cost of a gimbal can account for about one-third of the total cost of a reconnaissance drone, while the price of some imported gimbal may be several times that of the aircraft they are installed on. He said, "Reliable aerial imaging capability is crucial for the military. Our goal is to continue to reduce the overall cost of reconnaissance platforms by making high-performance and stable imaging systems more affordable."

M-Fly indicates that the core of its strategy is deep vertical integration, which enables the company to control products and the supply chain, as well as the trade-offs between size, weight, power consumption, and price. All core product elements—from motors and camera lenses to cameras and software—are custom-developed in-house. The company claims that this approach allows its systems to be priced almost on par with Chinese products, while keeping the proportion of Chinese components below 6%.

The company also stated that in 2026, M-Fly migrated its processing architecture from Random Access Memory (RAM) to a platform based on Graphics Processors (GPUs). This transition reduced the system's dependence on specific computing components and enabled engineers to complete adaptations more quickly when certain chips or memory components were not available.

Myhovych indicates that: 'During the global crisis known as ‘RAMageddon’, we have almost achieved hardware independence, which has protected our supply chain and freed up our capacity for expansion.' He expects that in the next 5 to 7 years, the market size for drone cameras will exceed 100 billion US dollars. 'New funds will enable us to expand our production facilities and accelerate the speed of product adaptation in order to gain a significant share in this market.'
