Ripple Today's News: Ripple is taking another step forward into the traditional stock market.
DriveWealth has reached a cooperation with Ripple to integrate stablecoin settlement, cross-border payments, and digital asset custody into their global brokerage infrastructure. In the initial phase of this collaboration, European settlement services will be supported, with plans to further expand to the United States.
This integration will utilize the stablecoin infrastructure of Ripple, which includes RLUSD on XRPL, as well as the minting and destruction capabilities of Ripple. Both companies aim to assist DriveWealth customers in using stablecoins to fund their margin accounts and manage them, with these stablecoins being convertible into cash in near-real-time.
Ripple will integrate RLUSD settlement and cross-border payments
This collaboration covers four areas: stablecoin settlement, cross-border payments, digital asset custody, and equity financing.
DriveWealth is integrating with Ripple Payments to facilitate cross-border transfers for its global partners. The company is also collaborating with Ripple to support digital asset custody in Europe and plans to expand into more markets.
In addition, DriveWealth and Ripple Prime are exploring equity financing opportunities through the Delta One service of Ripple Prime. This service provides institutional clients with coverage of US stocks and stock derivatives.
The two companies also plan to connect the fund management and custody infrastructure of DriveWealth with the Ripple system, enabling customers to manage dollars, stablecoins, and cryptocurrencies through a more unified architecture.
DriveWealth Collaboration Aims for Faster Capital Injection and Settlement
U.S. stocks are settled on a T+1 basis, while cross-border fund transfers can take even longer. This difference may increase the demand for funds and prevent capital from being available in a timely manner when needed by financial institutions.
This integration is aimed at helping international customers to transfer funds without being entirely dependent on traditional bank transfer windows and deadlines. DriveWealth currently supports 24-hour trading, 5 days a week, and it is expected that the new capital injection capabilities will better match fund transfers with their trading services.
DriveWealth CEO Naureen Hassan stated: "Our collaboration with Ripple allows us to extend the same type of capital injection and custody experience that customers have already relied on to stablecoins and digital assets."
Ripple, the Senior Vice President of Stablecoins, stated that this collaboration will go beyond cross-border settlements and will also cover trading, custody, and settlement infrastructure.
DriveWealth provides brokerage infrastructure for over 100 partners worldwide, including fintech companies, digital wallets, and financial institutions that offer access to the US market.
Ripple Expanding the Scope of Institutional Cooperation
Ripple has also reached a cooperation with Korean Meritz Securities to explore digital asset custody and tokenization for the Korean capital market. This agreement marks the first collaboration between Ripple and a Korean securities company, as well as its fourth institutional partnership in Korea in 2026; previous partners include Kyobo Life Insurance, Kbank, and Jeonbuk Bank.
In addition, Evernorth has selected Ripple, Kraken, Coinbase, and BitGo as partners for its XRP fund reserve strategy, involving approximately $648 million in XRP holdings. The aforementioned progress highlights the growing institutional influence of Ripple in the fields of digital asset custody, tokenization, payments, and financial services based on XRP.
Ripple and DriveWealth plan to discuss their collaboration during a fireside chat at the Ripple Swell event in New York on October 28.
