Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, November 5th / PRNewswire / — Professional insurance company in the digital asset economy Soter Insure announced today that Standard Chartered's Innovation and Venture Capital department SC Ventures as well as the Japanese financial group SBI Group have joined as strategic investors in its Series B financing, further contributing to this round of financing led by Galaxy.

This round of the second delivery also includes subsequent investments from Token Bay Capital, which has been supporting Soter since Round A. New investors have joined the aforementioned financiers along with Coinbase Ventures, Franklin Templeton, and Brevan Howard Digital; the latter participated in the first round of deliveries announced in July 2026.

Insurance underwriting capacity remains one of the key gaps for banks and asset management companies entering the digital assets sector. Without this protection, institutions cannot apply the same risk standards to other types of assets. The support provided by two global financial groups active in the digital assets field also reflects an increasing recognition in the market that professional insurance coverage is a prerequisite for institutional participation.

Soter Insure will utilize the funds raised from this financing to enhance its insurance underwriting capacity, strengthen its underwriting and technical capabilities, and expand into mature and emerging digital asset markets, including entering the Asia-Pacific region through its Hong Kong operations, as well as the European and American markets.

Soter Insure, the founder and CEO, stated: "Without the risk protection they provide in all other asset classes, banks would not be able to scale in the digital assets sector, and such protection is still scarce today. With SC Ventures and SBI Group joining Galaxy, Coinbase Ventures, and Franklin Templeton, we now have traditional financial institutions and native digital asset organizations working together towards a common goal: achieving institutional-level insurance underwriting capabilities. Our strategic investors now cover most of the jurisdictions and networks that are at the forefront of digital asset adoption. We are grateful for Token Bay Capital's continued support and also thank Galaxy for leading this round of financing."

SC Ventures The person in charge of the digital asset fund, Herv states that: "Insurance is a crucial yet often overlooked component of the digital asset ecosystem. Our investment reflects our belief that Soter possesses unique advantages and is capable of building a regulated insurance platform to meet the needs of institutions and support the continuous development of the industry on a global scale."

The representative of SBI Group in the UAE, Yangte Kim, added: "As digital assets continue to be more widely adopted, we believe that the development of robust insurance solutions will become an increasingly important part of the ecosystem. Soter brings together deep expertise in regulation, digital assets, and traditional insurance to meet this important market demand. With this investment, SBI Group looks forward to supporting the growth of Soter and contributing to the sustainable development of a more resilient global digital asset ecosystem."

Goldman Sachs strategist: The trading sector of AI has been "sold to the extreme," but there are still positive aspects after the Democratic Party's big win
Rich Pivrotzky, head of equity trading in Europe at Goldman Sachs, stated that after a round of selling, the valuation of AI related assets has significantly corrected, and there is a need for hedge positions to be covered. He believes that although a Democratic victory could lead to stricter regulation of data centers in some regions, companies may accelerate their capital expenditures and transactions as a result, and the value of already established computing power assets could also increase.
