U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF continued to attract capital inflows last week, with a net inflow of nearly $1 billion in a single week, continuing the upward trend seen in recent weeks. Meanwhile, the price of Bitcoin remains fluctuating around $80,000, and institutional buying has not yet driven the price to rise significantly higher.

Bitcoin ETF has seen three consecutive weeks of net inflows

According to SoSoValue data, as of the week ending September 4th, the net inflow of spot Bitcoin in the United States was $986.9 million, higher than the previous week's $924.5 million. This is also the third consecutive week that such products have recorded a net inflow.

In August, Bitcoin ETF attracted a total of $3.52 billion in funds, achieving the strongest single-month performance since September 2025, indicating that institutional demand has significantly recovered recently.

  • Net inflow as of the week ending September 4: $986.9 million
  • Net inflow in the previous week: $924.5 million
  • Monthly net inflow in August: $3.52 billion

Ethereum ETF continues to attract funds synchronously

Spot Ethereum ETF also continues to see positive inflows. Data shows that this type of product had a net inflow of $218.4 million last week, and it has achieved net capital inflows for three consecutive weeks.

However, the trading activity of Ethereum ETF has declined. The turnover for that week dropped to 4.1 billion US dollars, lower than the 6.3 billion US dollars of the previous week.

Calculated on a weekly basis, the two spot cryptocurrency categories of Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF have attracted a total of over $1.2 billion in funds.

  • Ethereum ETF Weekly Net Inflow: $218.4 Million
  • Consecutive net inflow weeks: 3 weeks
  • Weekly trading volume: $4.1 billion

Bitcoin remains around $80,000

In terms of prices, the inflow of funds did not immediately lead to a strong upward reaction. Bitcoin was trading at around $79,530 on Monday, with a 1.73% increase over the past 7 days. On last Thursday, it briefly rose to around $81,700 during trading hours.

Ethereum is trading at around $2,495.57, with a 2.26% increase over the past 7 days, performing slightly better than Bitcoin during the same period.

The United States CPI becomes the next observation point.

The focus of the market next turns to U.S. inflation data. Stronger-than-expected employment data for August has pushed up market bets on a Fed interest rate hike at its September meeting, with the current probability being around 57% to 58%.

The U.S. data for August CPI to be released on September 11 may become an important trigger for the trend of risky assets in the next phase. If inflation is higher than expected, rising interest rate expectations may suppress assets such as Bitcoin; if the data is weak, it may provide new support for the crypto market.
