TrendAI indicates that the NVIDIA Nemotron open-source model will operate entirely within customer-controlled infrastructure, providing AI-driven threat detection and policy-based responses, while ensuring that secure data does not cross sovereign borders.

Dallas, October 21st / PRNewswire / -- TrendAI ™, a global leader in AI security and a business unit of Trend Micro Incorporated (Tokyo Stock Exchange code: 4704; TSE : 4704), today announced that it will introduce the NVIDIA Nemotron ™ open-source model into TrendAI Vision One ™ for Sovereign and AI ( SPC). This is an extension of its collaboration with NVIDIA. This integration will bring the enhanced security operations provided by AI into a customer-controlled environment, targeting organizations that require sovereignty over data residency and operational control, and will expand capabilities such as guided investigations, security reasoning, and agentic SIEM.

TrendAI Vision One ™ for Sovereign and Private Cloud ( SPC ) are now available, enabling organizations to deploy TrendAI Vision One ™ in customer-controlled private clouds, sovereign clouds, and on-premises environments. Nemotron integrates to maintain customers' control over security data and deployment, while extending AI to assist in security operations in these environments.

Why Open Source Models Are Crucial for Sovereignty

Highly regulated organizations require AI driven security capabilities that meet their data control requirements. Nemotron Open-source models can meet these requirements by "bringing the model to where the data is, rather than bringing the data to the model." Customers can decide on the location where the model runs, the version deployed, and who can access it, and they can operate securely based on NVIDIA accelerated computing in their own data centers, sovereign clouds, and restricted connection environments. The collaboration between TrendAI and NVIDIA on OpenShell also provides an additional layer of security for proxies, ensuring that organizations can control and visualize agentic activities.

Who is in control of the intelligence that acts on your data?

"Sovereignty doesn't merely refer to where the data is stored. Enterprises also need to control where the intelligent processes that act on this data are located, as well as how they are governed," said Rachel Jin, CEO of TrendAI. "Organizations should not give up the operational advantages that AI brings just because security and operational needs require that data to remain in a customer-controlled environment. Our job is to bring the secure operations driven by AI into the environments that customers choose to control."

"Open-source models provide transparency and control for organizations, allowing them to operate in their own way, which is crucial in a sovereign environment," said John Fanelli, Vice President of Enterprise Software at NVIDIA. "Integrating NVIDIA Nemotron models enables companies to utilize the most sensitive data, which never leaves their control."

Customer perspective: Achieving sovereignty without compromise

TITECH, which provides sovereign security operations for customers in Oman, is collaborating with TrendAI. As a design partner integrated with Nemotron, it is participating in the development prior to the official commercial launch.

“TrendAI Vision One for Sovereign and Private Cloud has provided our local customers in Oman with a reliable foundation, enabling secure operations to remain under customer control while complying with national data residency regulations,” said Mohammed Hassan, CEO of TITECH. “The capabilities driven by Nemotron will allow us to provide customers with advanced threat analysis and AI to assist in secure operations, while maintaining data sovereignty and operational control.”

This integration supports AI assisted threat analysis, policy-based responses, and guided security operations within a customer-controlled environment. These capabilities help organizations to improve their security operations by leveraging AI while maintaining control over security data and the location where AI processing takes place.

Customer outcome: Prioritizing security and control from the very beginning.

"As enterprises begin to deploy AI in real environments, security and control must be embedded in the infrastructure from day one," said Mathias Schick, the Security Business Manager at Bechtle AG. "Our clients wish to fully leverage the potential of AI without compromising on data sovereignty, security, or operational control. Integrating security driven by AI into both sovereign and private cloud environments is a crucial step towards the large-scale adoption of secure AI, especially for organizations with stringent security and compliance requirements."

TrendAI Vision One ™ for Sovereign and Private Cloud ( SPC ) integrated with NVIDIA Nemotron supports:

  • Customer-controllable AI: The NVIDIA Nemotron open-source model is deployed and runs on customer-controlled infrastructure, without relying on external inference services.
  • AI Auxiliary Threat Analysis: Inference across security signals to identify complex threat patterns, attack chains, and AI Native attack paths
  • Policy-based Threat Response: Protection actions supported by organization-defined policies and security team control
  • Guided Security Operations: Helping security teams investigate threats and prioritize response activities
  • agentic SIEM Capability: To maintain team supervision while integrating telemetry and assisting in security inference
